SKI PARK Ružomberok
The ski resort SKI PARK Ružomberok is situated on the hillsides of the Veľká Fatra over the town Ružomberok in the altitude between 545 to 1209 m above sea level. Ski Park Ružomberok is famous for its excellent geographical position because Ružomberok is situated in the main tourist direction Žilina – the High Tatras.
It is a sought-after relax resort not only for domestic visitors but also for foreign tourist. It is one of the most modern resorts in Slovakia with a high standard of services, service programme and a customer care.
The town part of Hrabovo (just 1 km away from the town centre) is an entrance gate to the resort. A modern 8-seat cabin cableway, 1,770 m long, which transports 1,500 people per hour runs from Hrabovo to Malinô Brdo. Directly in the centre of the resort there is a 4-seat chair lift, 2 ski lifts and 4 ski lifts for beginners and children. Every weekend and during holidays there are interesting events and competitions held for visitors of the ski resort and whole family (snowtubing – riding on a special rubber tire, ice tower – something for those who want to try the basics of climbing, various ski competitions, snowpark for children, and the like).
In the resort there are 12 km of ski trails, available, the longest of them is 3,900 m long and overcomes the 698 m difference of altitude and it is the longest ski trail with artificial snow in Slovakia.
High transport capacities of transport facilities are the guarantee of minimal waiting periods and comfortable skiing even during the days with the highest visit rate.
Surroundings of the Ski Park offer some excellent opportunities for cross country skiing and tourism with the wooden village Vlkolínec (UNESCO), area around Sidorovo and the “fantastic” winter passage to Smrekovica belonging to attractive destinations.
In the whole area of the Ski Park there are several catering facilities and snack bars, which offer the possibility of fast food directly on the slope.
