Aquapark Tatralandia – near Liptovský Mikuláš
Aquapark Tatralandia is operated all year round thanks to the thermal water, which comes from a long-ago period – from about 40 million years ago. Mineral water from Tatralandia has a beneficial effect on locomotive organs and respiratory system.
The area is located in Liptov region just 2 km away from Liptovský Mikuláš right in the middle of beautiful scenery of Western Tatras on the northern bank of Liptovská Mara dam. It is easily accessible from all main highway routes.
In Tatralandia, there are many possibilities to relax actively and passively for everyone who wants to relax in any season and to have fun. In aquapark, there are many attractions most of which are of year-round nature. The area offers 9 swimming pools out of which 6 are year-round with thermal mineral water up to 38°C (2 of the swimming pools are indoor). In the swimming pools there are many water attractions: aqua caissons for walking, massage beds or resting places, water mushroom gargoyle, water gargoyles, springing devices, water currents, see-saws, water volleyball and basketball, slides for children. In summer season there are 3 season swimming pools available with clear heated water and the temperature between 24 – 26 °C, giant swimming pool for children with a castle, minislides and palm tress, 25 m long pool for swimming and the pool with 21 water attractions. Every day various water competitions and animation programmes full of fun and prizes take place in swimming pools. Sports lovers may do aerobics with water noodles and sports area, adrenaline area and paintball are available together with the little kingdom for children offering them fun for every day.
Lúčky Spa
The spa provides versatile cultural and sports utilization for visitors: performances of popular personalities, folk groups, possibility to play golf, go to cinema or for trips to the surroundings. Lúčky calcareous tufas, Lučky waterfall or tour up to the Veľký Choč (1,607 m) are rewarding destinations of undemanding hiking. Not far away, there is an archaeological locality Zápolie, classical Roman catholic church dated back to 1824 and a spa house dated back to 1943-1948.
